Our team at Jewellery Artists 3D has been recognized with some significant awards by the jewellery industry, the company’s peers and the public for excellence in the custom jewellery field.

Iron Chefs? How about Iron Custom Jewellery Designers!

Jewellery Artists grabbed First Place in a peer judged, real time ‘Head-to-Head’ design competition. Picture the Iron Chef competition from the food network, but better. We had to conceptualize, create, program and render a jewellery item that was requested by a client via video. We knew no details before we started. It was all a surprise to the participants and audience.

The competition was a feature event at this year’s Chicago Design Symposium, attended by the Who’s Who of innovative jewellers from around the world who use CAD technology in their creative design and jewellery manufacturing processes. JA3D was responsible for the concept design, and manufacturing design of the contest piece, while partner Ted Karl looked after the physical programming of the CAD software.

Best of the Best in Vancouver

Jewellery Artists 3D achieved first place the Georgia Straight’s ‘Best of Vancouver’ competition. We were voted ‘Best Custom Jewellery Store’ in the greater Vancouver area. This honour was bestowed upon us by the public at large in a readers’ poll that is known locally as the ‘one that counts’ . The team at JA3D is honoured to have had this public recognition.

The respected Platinum Guild International gave Jewellery Artists 3D a 98 per cent mark for its knowledge, use and handling of the precious metal in the design and fabrication of custom jewellery. The Guild cited Jewellery Artists 3D’s outstanding ability to explain the how’s and why’s of using platinum—and its dedication to helping clients make the most appropriate metal choices to the realization of JA3D jewellery designs in metal and gems. The Platinum Guild is a very respected international organization. They reported to us that the average mark for all the premium jewellery stores they adjudicated was 76 percent.

Tops in Innovation

Jewellery Artists 3D was honoured as one of the Top 50 Most Innovative Jewellery Stores in North America. JA3D was the only Canadian store selected! Owner-partner David Penner was flown to New Orleans, LA to participate in brainstorming sessions on the future development of the jewellery industry, and to receive the award on behalf of Jewellery Artists 3D.
